Monsters Vs. Aliens

Hey everybody,

My cousin and I just went to go see Monsters vs. Aliens. It might not have gotten the greatest ratings but this movie is still pretty good. The voice cast includes many famous people including Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Keifer Sutherland, and Rainn Wilson. It is about a woman, Susan, who on her wedding day is hit by a meteorite. This collision turns her into a giant. The goverment takes her into a holding cell where she meets other monsters like her. There is The Missing Link, kind of like a creature from the black lagoon, Dr. Cockroach, an evil mad scientist... cockroach, B.O.B, a gelatinous blob, and Insectosaurus, a gigantic bug creature. When an alien invasion happens, the 5 monsters team up to battle them and save the earth. Altogether I give it a 7 out of 10.

Summer Days

Signs of summer:

You find yourself sprawled out on the floor babbling incoherently. You find that no matter how many times you click the button to turn the fan on, it doesn't go faster. Every 20 minutes, you say to the people around you, "let's do something," only to continue to lie down on the floor for the next 20 minutes until the cycle repeats. The only food and drink combination you like is ice cream and water/soda. Finding something to do for 10 minutes only to realize that it's boring, then lying down again. All of these things point toward summer behavior. I have done all of these things today.

Slumdog Millionaire

Thanks for sticking around,

I don't think I've said how much I've loved the movie, Slumdog Millionaire. It is a movie about a young boy who lived in the slums of India his entire life and who falls in love with another girl from the slums. At a young age they are separated and the boy, Jamal, makes it his life quest to find the girl, Latika. He decides to go on the most popular show in India, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, knowing that Latika will be watching. It is an excellent film directed by Danny Boyle with an amazing soundtrack by A.R. Rahman ( by the way, his name is not prounounced Rahkman, as said by people in the Oscars, it's pronounced reh-man, just like it's spelled. What a coincidence!) A few songs I suggest checking out are Liquid Dance, Mausam and Escape, and O...Saya. Although this movie is rated R for thematic elements and intense scenes, it is definately worth checking out. C0nvince your parents, watch it, and convince your entire other family to watch it. Already many groups have covered the kind of title song, Jai Ho, like Anika said that the Pussy Cat Dolls covered it. I really am not a fan of PCD but atleast it's getting recognition.

Awesome Jobs

Hey everyone,

My cousins came over the other day and we were sitting at the dinner table just randomly talking when the topic ( I have no idea how) of opening up businesses. So, my cousin suggested making a delivery service for college students only this wouldn't be any old deliver service like pizza, it was for COOKIES! Not only cookies though, brownies and muffins were also an option. My sister and my cousin said that they would be the chefs and my other cousin (pretty smart) would do the "math." And I added that I would drive the delivery truck. The idea sounded really cool. Kind of relating to this, but not really, is that I had an idea for a fundraiser. You know those splatter jackets, the jackets with paint splattered over them in random patterns. Well, beforehand the members would make a foundation of money to start with and using that buy a bunch of plain jackets and t-shirts and the most necessary ingredient, paint. Then the people in the group ( the more the merrier ) would splatter the jackets and we could have a fundraiser to donate to a charity or charities. This would benefit many people, just an idea to think about. But if you want to make it real, just email me on either my school email, 14arjung@students.harker.org, or at my regular email, goyalrules@gmail.com.

Be sure to continue watching, our broadcast isn't over yet.

Laughing Babies

Laughing Babies. You gotta love 'em. This little guy is pretty rad. You just have to watch him. There are many Youtube babies I love to watch the little girl who says, "whatever," in a snobbish tone or the baby who tells her mom that monster is gonna kick her ***.

Enjoy

What World Are We Living In?

This morning after eating a delicious breakfast provided by my sister, my dad was talking about the news. He had a Time magazine in his hand and the article was about the top ten things of 2008 whether it be top ten movies, songs, or memorable olympic moments. One of the lists, I forget which one, said that in one school in Massachusetts, 17 girls become pregnant around the same time. 17! It turns out that they had a brilliant idea which was let's all get pregnant at the same time, for fun! The other day my sister was telling me about how in an evergreen San Jose school, somebody burned a giant swastika on the school lawn and administrators were getting envelopes filled with an oderless white powder (remind anyone of a little something called anthrax). Luckily, the envelopes were filled with baby powder, but the idea of people doing that is horrible. That's not everything though, from a local gunshop, 150 guns were stolen. 150! Think about what kind of threat that would pose. On Monday and Tuesday, nobody came to school because of fear. The scary part is that Evergreen San Jose is so close to where we all live. The conditions we are living with are frightening, and I hope the world takes a change for the better. Soon.

This whole blog thing is relatively new to me. I mean the only time I read blogs are my cousins, http://sumeetjain.com, which I recommend viewing. It's pretty awesome. My sister's is also very good, http://dreamdelusion.wordpress.com/. Well back to the not very well known point, thanks for following and reading this blog. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside to know that people like to read things I write, or at least, pretend to like it. Keep up the commenting you guys, and let me know if you have some particular ideas, 'cause I would love to hear them.

So, don't turn that channel, we'll be right back after these messages.

Green Association

The Green Association is a club started by Mr. Culbertson and Katherine Paseman. The idea is how to make the Blackford Campus a more greener campus. It is a "anyone can join club", but you have to be able to contribute ideas. An idea created by Katherine was at lunch, put the silverware trays after the main room where you get your food. This idea is great because many times, I get a spoon or a fork without knowing what I will actually need. I could get a spoon but then get all the food that uses a fork. This idea saves much water because now you only get the utensils that you require to eat your lunch. If you are interested, contact Katherine at 14katherinep@students.harker.org or me at 14arjung@students.harker.org. Congrats, you now know how to become a member of the green association! But remember, it is not a real club or anything, but to be a part of it, email your suggestions! Thanks, live long and prosper.
